CATIA V5 - Process Consultant

 Job Responsibilities

o       Audit existing automotive design process and develop best practices and methodologies focused around CATIA V5 suite of products.

o       Development implementation plans for migration to a CATIA V5 environment.  This would involve training, consulting, process methods, legacy data transfer, KBE applications, etc.

o       Coordinate with Upper Management and Focus groups on implementation plans.

o       Promote and describe key aspects of the CATIA V5 ‘Automotive Product Development Process’ to key managers and executives within an organization.

o       Assist engineering groups on the development of process and methodologies for CATIA V5 in an automotive design environment.

o       Establish the necessary Work Flow Management that leverages ENOVIA’s data management capabilities within a ‘Automotive Product Development Process’  

o       Have the ability to convey expert knowledge with all CATIA V5 workbench environments.

o       Develop documentation to capture all process and methodologies in a clear and concise manner.

 

Skills Requirements

o       Extensive knowledge of the automotive industry related to CAD product development processes.

o       Expert knowledge of CATIA V5 design methodologies.

o       Extensive knowledge of the (DMU) digital mock-up environment and visualization tools

o       Knowledge of the automotive product structure and Body design or Chassis design methods.

o       Knowledge of V5 methodologies is strongly recommended.

 

Education & Experience Requirements

o       Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

o       (10) Years automotive experience.

o       (5-10) Years Minimum experience applying CAD tools and methodologies to the automotive product development community.

 


CATIA V5 - Application Engineer

 Job Responsibilities

o       Assist engineering groups on the development of process and methodologies for CATIA V5 in an automotive design environment.

o       Resolve day to day issues for engineers and designers related to CATIA V5 and VPM.

o       Develop focused training methods for the design of specific automotive components (i.e. Injection Molding, Stampings, Castings, Forging, etc.)

o       Promote and describe key aspects of the applicable processes and methodologies to key designers and engineers.

 

Skills Requirements

o       Extensive knowledge of CATIA V5 and VPM.

o       Background in automotive product development process methodologies.

o       Good customer interaction and team building skills.

 

Education & Experience Requirements

o       Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

o       (8) Years automotive experience.

o       (3-5) Years Minimum experience applying CAD tools and methodologies to the automotive product development community.

 


Pro/E Designers

A minimum of (2) year of experience in Pro/ENGINEER required. Candidates must have the ability to design and model complex parts, large assemblies and drawings. Working knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes in the design of stampings, sheet metal parts, and castings desired. Associates degree preferred or equivalent working experience. Experience with Pro/Intralink a plus.  Must be willing to work in a team environment on large programs.


Sr. Pro/E Designer / Engineer

Extensive experience using Pro/ENGINEER required. Successful candidates will be pro-active, work and communicate well with team members, or be able to work independently as needed. Duties will include all facets of product design and project management. BS degree with CAE experience preferred, but not necessary. Experience with Pro/Intralink a plus.  Must be willing to work in a team environment on large programs.
