Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH)

Vehicle noise is a top priority for today's car manufacturer. Buyers want quality and reliability when it comes to buzz, squeak, and rattle issues. Vehicle noise reduction is important to improve ride quality, vehicle control, and lower fatigue on vehicle systems. ESS has the ability to analytically perform component and full vehicle NVH analysis.

ESS is especially known for their ability to predict vehicle NVH behaviors. Particularly in the non-linearity range of vehicle systems at frequencies above 75Hz.

  • Forced Frequency Response
  • Low & Mid Range Frequencies
  • Modal Alignment
  • Modal Analysis
  • Random Vibrations
  • Structure Bourne Noise
For each type of analysis, the design geometry is defined by using finite and beam elements to represent the structure. Appropriate loading and boundary conditions are then applied to simulate real life events.
